Just place the warped wood on top of the heating pad and turn it on high for about 30 minutes. Place the warped board over the pan and let it sit for about 15 minutes. You can also try to fix warping wood by steaming them! Get a pan of boiling water ready on your stovetop, then turn off the heat once you have it boiling. Fill a tub with warm water, place the warped board there for about an hour, remove it, and let it dry completely. Try this method if you’re dealing with more severe warping issues (the kind that doesn’t seem like they can be fixed). Leave the clamps on for a day or two, then remove them and let your board return to its normal shape. Clamp the board in place, so it is bent in the opposite way it wants to be. Method Two: Using ClampsĪnother way to fix a slight warp is by using clamps. This will cause the wood to expand and contract, which may help to fix the warp. If your wood is only slightly warped, you can try to fix it by wetting and then drying it out.
